Prompts
Below are the two discussion prompts and the activity prompt, in the order that they appear in the lesson.
Assignment Prompt - MIRO Whiteboard Activity
- ELO 4.2: Develop strategies for maintaining healthy eating habits in various settings, such as social situations and dining out, to ensure continuity in achieving health goals.
Let's use a virtual whiteboard to brainstorm and share strategies for overcoming common nutrition challenges, including social situations and hard-to-track foods. Using the MIRO virtual whiteboard, collaborate by selecting a sticky note, adding your response or emotion, and organizing by dragging and dropping in the appropriate 'Situation' and 'Response' categories. The class can organize and see responses on the board in real-time.
The whiteboard will be available for contributions starting on [xx/xx/xx]. Please ensure your responses are added by [xx/xx/xx]. After the contribution period closes, we’ll open a class discussion board to reflect on the activity and explore the shared strategies. This will allow us to refine ideas further and learn from each other's experiences.

Reflection
Creating discussion and assignment prompts required careful consideration of how to engage learners, stimulate critical thinking, and align activities with course objectives. Designing clear, inclusive, and thought-provoking prompts ensures learners have the tools to participate and collaborate for deeper understanding. The information gathered from these prompts—such as recurring themes in responses, areas where learners struggled, and feedback on engagement—can provide insights for improving future learning experiences. By analyzing this data, I can refine prompts to better address learner needs, enhance clarity, and introduce new strategies to promote active participation and diverse perspectives, ultimately creating a more dynamic and effective learning environment.
